The LAGOOS project uses the read-COOP’s handwritten text recognition software TRANSKRIBUS to assist with the transcription of Hase’s manuscript diaries. The TRANSKRIBUS model designed for Hase’s heavily abbreviated Greek hand is named after the project and is currently in its fourth iteration.

Alongside the project’s collaboration with TRANSKRIBUS for this fundamental work towards the digital edition of the text, LAGOOS will present its final results on the readCOOP’s read&search platform. This platform offers open access to the project’s editorial results in a standardised format for digital editions with original images of the text, transcription, English summaries and tagged commentary notes.
