From 4.12.2023 to 7.12.2023, ΛΑΓΩΟΣ team member Lev Shadrin took part in an information-packed workshop “Digital Approaches to Post-Byzantine Inscriptions” hosted by the DiBS project at the University of Cologne.

The hybrid event was filled with sessions on Early Modern Greek inscriptions featured in Bulgarian monuments and icons, as well as a deep-dive into XML text encoding, the Oxygen editor, as well as TEI and EpiDoc schemas. It was a great opportunity to explore current approaches to advanced textual markup, and share experience with members of other research projects that work with Greek sources.
