On the 14th–15th February 2024, the LAGOOS team was pleased to be able to present some of the results of the project’s first year at the Transkribus User Conference 2024 (TUC24). The conference took place, following tradition, at the University of Innsbruck, and allowed us the opportunity to catch up with fellow digital humanists, while also meeting some new faces.
Following the conference, a number of presentations that were recorded during the event have been published on YouTube. Among these is the talk of our team member Lev Shadrin, whose current work as a doctoral research assistant with the LAGOOS project focuses on preparing the Greek text of the diary for online publication, and analysis of Hase‘s use of the historical forms of Greek.
Catch up with Lev’s paper “Transcription Correction: Exploring Recognition Errors and Discussing Alternative Approaches” here!
